Yes! When you become a member of Pet Sitters of Gainesville, we will schedule a meet and greet consultation with one of our pet care specialists. The Meet & Greet provides the perfect opportunity to get to know you, your pet and needs so that we can provide the best service possible.

Firstly, you’ll schedule an in person Meet & Greet ( to schedule a meet and greet, follow this link. This will allow you to meet your sitter, introduce them to your pet(s), and answer ALL of your questions! Once the meet and greet is complete, you are ready to schedule services. Our web portal makes it easy to self-schedule and provides a secure way to complete your payment.

For clients who don’t have keyless entry, we’ve got a convenient solution in place – the trusty lockbox.
Embracing the lockbox approach brings a bundle of benefits your way. Imagine this: if your dedicated pet sitter encounters an unexpected hiccup like a flat tire, worry not! We’ve got a backup sitter ready to jump in, ensuring your furry friend’s care never skips a beat.

Now, here’s the scoop – you can get your very own lockbox or leave the lockbox hunting to us. We’re more than happy to provide one for just $25. We’ll even drop it off for you or lend a hand in finding the perfect spot to place it. Your peace of mind is our priority!

All our sitters can give oral medications to most pets. We also offer Pet transportation to the vet.

We believe that pets are at their best when they are at home. Many pets experience stress when they are placed in an unknown environment. Furthermore, this increases the chances that your dog may acquire some infectious disease from other animals. Having a professional pet sitter come to your home is always the best choice for your best friend

During inclement weather, schedules may be slightly altered in order to give each client the best possible service. Rain or shine, We will guarantee that your pet gets the proper care, attention and exercise they need to be healthy.

Yes! We are trained and certified with Pet First Aid by the American Red Cross. Furthermore, we keep your pet’s detailed information on hand in case of any emergency during a visit. We will always carry your contact information as well as your primary veterinary information in case of an emergency.

Policies
Temperament and behavior

Safety of your pet and home is our Goal. The temperament of your pet will be evaluated at the initial consultation. This will help us determine behavior, habits, and play styles your friend needs.

Please inform us if you have any doubts about your pet’s ability to interact with new people in an unthreading manner.

 

Vaccinations

Pets using our service will need to be fully vaccinated.

We also recommend for your pet to be spayed and neutered.

 

Holiday & Weekend Policy

Pet Sitters of Gainesville operates 365 days a year. A $20 holiday fee will be applied for all major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, and Easter. The holiday fee will be applied if the appointment is booked on the day before or after Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Thanksgiving Day.

 

Cancellations

Recurring dog-walking appointments require a 12-hour cancellation notice.

Cat sitting and pet taxi appointments require a 48-hour cancellation notice.

Failure to cancel within the specified time frames will result in a $15 late cancellation fee.

 

Payment

For recurring weekly dog walking appointments, Pet Sitters of Gainesville will send a weekly invoice at the end of the week. Payment will be automatically collected three days after the invoice is sent if not paid directly by the customer. For cat sitting appointments, an invoice will be sent before services start, and full payment must be made prior to the commencement of pet visits.
